Here’s the second part of this short WoW leveling guide for questing. So, here are a few important neutral quest hubs in Northrend and in the new zones of Cataclysm.

Northrend

D.E.T.H.A. Encampment (Borean Tundra) – it’s a small camp in the middle of Borean Tundra, near the crossroads at (57,44). By completing all the chain quests these NPCs give you’ll complete the achievement “D.E.T.H.A.’s Little P.I.T.A.”. I want to add here something that you should keep in mind. If you kill a beast while you’re in Borean Tundra, you’ll get covered in blood. Apparently D.E.T.H.A. really love animals and due to that fact, they will attack and kill anyone that does any harm to the wildlife. So, if you’re covered in blood, don’t go near the camp. The “blood” debuff lasts 3 minutes, but you can wash it off in the lake near by.

D.E.T.H.A. Encampment - Borean Tundra

Nesingwary Base Camp (Sholazar Basin) – similar to other Nesingwary neutral quest hubs throughout the game, the quests here are based on slaying beasts. It’s a place not to miss if you’re a skinner.

The Shadow Vault (Icecrown) – It’s a death knights camp, the main neutral quest hubs for Knights of the Ebon Blade reputation. To get access to the quests here, you’ll have to complete 1 set of quests accepted from the Horde or Alliance airships that fly over Icecrown.

Cataclysm

Ramkahen (Uldum) – The main Ramkahen camp is located in the northern part of Vir’naal Lake in Uldum, you can’t miss it. You’ll also find the Ramkahen quartermaster here. Once you complete the first chain of quests with this faction, a portal from Stormwind or Orgrimmar will open to this camp.

Therazane’s Throne (Deepholm) – This isn’t an extremely important quest hub for XP, but this factions grants a very important shoulder enchantment. Most players grind reputation with them and some guilds even require you to have this enchant. To unlock the daily quests here, you will have to complete quite many quests in Deepholm. However, once you gain access to these quests, you can make nice cash by completing them daily, and also guild reputation.

There are many neutral quest hubs in World of Warcraft, which are usually quite rich in quests. Now, you’re probably asking yourself why are these NPC hubs so important for questing?

Well, if you’re going to roll a new character on the opposite faction, you’ll have a little bit of trouble with finding the most important quest hubs for your character, specific to the new faction you’re playing, Alliance or Horde. A neutral camp is always an excellent choice for any faction to choose as a questing destination, and you’re probably going to know the quests as well, because you probably have completed them before.

So, here’s the part 1 of a short WoW leveling guide. I’m going to point out here, a few of the best major cities throughout the game, with quests available for both factions in World of Warcraft:

Azeroth

Gadgetzan (Tanaris) – It’s a town inhabited by goblins, located in northern Tanaris. Plenty of quests here in a level range of 40-50.

Marshal’s Stand (Un’Goro Crater) – formerly Marshal’s Refuge. This camp was relocated after Cataclysm, placed South-East from Fire Plume Ridge. It’s the main quest hub in Un’Goro.

Cenarion Hold (Silithus) – neutral camp placed near the middle of Silithus. A very rich quest hub for both Alliance and Horde.

Booty Bay (The Cape of Stranglethorn) – this goblin-themed city is basically still there, but since STV has suffered major geographic changes in Cataclysm, Booty Bay is now on a different zone, The Cape of Stranglethorn.

Everlook (Winterspring) – another goblin-themed city, Everlook is the main quest hub in Winterspring. No major changes after Cataclysm.

Outland

Aeris Landing (Nagrand) – is a Consortium small camp, South from Sunspring Lake. Not many quests here, but important quests if you want Consortium rep.

Cenarion Refuge (Zangarmarsh) – is an important quest hub for the whole zone. You’ll always get Cenarion Expedition reputation by completing quests here. Also there’s a repeatable quest for Cenarion Expedition rep. – “Coilfang Armaments”. By reaching exalted with this faction you will be able to buy a very near flying mount.

Area 52 (Netherstorm) – a major goblin town in southwestern part of Netherstorm. Loads of quests here, this place being the most important quest hub in the zone.

Stormspire (Netherstorm) – another Consortium camp. Completing quests here you’ll get Consortium rep. There’s also a merchant that sells exotic pets here which you can have for fun or resell at AH for high prices.
